Birthday Surprise

Well yesterday I went to London. My husband said that we were going to do some pub visits and generally mooch around town. We met my friends Alisha and Keith at the station and went to Waterloo. We popped into the Firestation, which is a really nice pub by Waterloo.

Then they decided that it would be good to go to docklands to see some nice pubs there... little did I know.

We got to North Greenwich station, which is by the O2 Sadium (the old Dome) and they told me they had bought me tickets to see the Stereophonics for my birthday and that's what we were going to do.

We had a wonderful Thai meal at the O2, which is a great venue with lots of places to eat and drink. Then we took our seats and were blown away by the Phonics. They were brilliant. It was a fantastic birthday surprise.

Well some of the flooring has gone down in the old kitchen and the conservatory. It looks lovely.

Speaking of lovely... well this is my baby wearing a dress for the first time in abou eight years. She seems to have grown up a lot. She had a wonderful time at her ball. Nothing can stop her now.

December 6th

Well today I went into Kingston to buy a dress for Sarah. It was great to have some girlie time and a girlie job to do. I know this might sound mad for me, the mother of a tomboy, but I think even she enjoyed it.

Then I met my friend, Alisha, for lunch. We went to the Gourmet Burger place, opposite Jamie Oliver's new restaurant. There was a huge queue to get in there and we watched the queue get much bigger as we sat and ate our wonderful burgers.

Then we went to the cinema to see The Changeling with Angelina Jolie and her non smearing makeup. It was brilliant but emotionally draining. So then we went to the pub for a glass of wine.

We then returned to Chessington and went to the Chessington Oak. We had a great natter and Simon joined us. We then ended up at Alisha and Keith's house until late. So what a wonderful day.
